Kintail 2008

Primary 6 pupils from Deshar and Abernethy met up for a residential trip to Ratagan in Kintail.

These are some photographs and comments from the pupils.

On Monday we had lunch beside Loch Ness. When we got to the Youth Hostel we checked out our room. All the beds were bunk beds.

The best thing about Ratagan was sharing a room with my friends.

Kylerhea Otter Haven Isle of Skye

Tuesday. Today was fun. I learned a lot on the glass bottomed boat and we saw a shipwreck. We went swimming.

On Wednesday we saw seals and went for a walk at night. The dog that followed us was really funny.

On the deck of the Probe Atlantis at Kyle of Lochalsh

We saw a seal from the boat in Kyle of Lochalsh. We had a talk from Willie Fraser about the Kintail Mountain Rescue team.

I like the boat trip best. I liked the sausages because they were nice.

Dinner time in the hostel's canteen

Tuesday

I went swimming and I had fun. We did lots of things about Mountain Rescue. We went to the Iron Age Brochs. I had fun on the boat trip.

The best thing was going on the seal boat trip in Plockton. The seals were very cute.

Looking down on Loch Duich

I thought the glass bottomed boat trip was good because it was exciting and we saw a seven legged starfish. The best thing about Ratagan was the cooking and the worst thing was getting to sleep.
