MY FIRST POEM COMPETITION

The following poems by our Primary One children are to be published in the near future and we can't wait to see the book.  Well done P1.

 

My name is James and I go to big school,                                       My name is Lana and I go to big school,

My best friend is Shannon who is really cool,                                   My best friend is Euan who is really cool,

I watch CBeebies on TV,                                                            I watch Dora on TV,

Playing Car Games is lots of fun for me,                                        Playing Jigsaws is lots of fun for me,

I just love sausages to eat,                                                        I just love sausages to eat,

And sometimes fizzy drink for a treat,                                          And sometimes ice cream for a treat,

Blue is a colour I like a lot,                                                        Pink is a colour I like a lot,

Subaru car is the best present I ever got,                                       Bike is the best present I ever got.

My favourite person is Shannon, who is a gem,                                My favourite person is Emily, who is a gem,

HERE ARE SOME OF OUR STAR WRITERS

Watching the fireworks

On Saturday at 6pm Mum, Emma, Laura and I went to the fireworks.  There was a big bonfire and lots of bright, loud, sparkly fireworks and lots of bangs!  It was really exciting, I was on cloud 9.

The Strange Sound

Late one evening, just as the moon began to set behind the distant hills, a strange sound was heard in the distance.  Could this be the return of the hairy monster which had terrified the village many years ago?  The children decided to investigate...........................

Tom and I went into the woods.  It was scary it was in the middle of the night.  We saw something that looked hairy that was making lots of noise.  It chased us.  We ran like the wind.

Tom ran into a bush and he got crushed.  I fell over a branch it was sore. The monster ran past and Tom and I were happy.  He made big footprints.  Tom said lets run back.

One Monday in the school holidays I was playing football outside with Jake and Bob.  It was a sunny morning and we were having lots of fun.

It was going well until Bob kicked the ball and it zoomed past me like a fireball.  It flew through the air without warning and hit Jake on the back of the head.  Jake held the back of his head with both hands and burst into tears.  When he stopped crying he was okay.
